Sleepy (what’s new?)

I’m pretty sleepy and i’ve known for so long that I prefer working in the afternoon until early in the morning. Too bad, i’m still working with this 9-5 job that forces me to arise at 6-7am so I can lounge around till i actually wake up at 10am. Sometimes during weekly meetings – I feel my eyes become droopy even while talking f2f with someone. F2f means FACE 2 FACE.

Why do i use Opera Browser when most rebels use Firefox and shun IE?

Note: OPERA is now ad-free. And completely FREE!

I switched to opera because its fast, there aren’t much spyware/security exploits made for it -and because it answers many basic questions that aren’t even answered in the OTHER nonIE browsers like:

1. “How do I know w/c websites did I surf last time?”

With Opera, I don’t have this problem because it remembers and opens the previously loaded sites I visited. This saves me a lot of time – you can’t find this in any other browser.  If I ran into 10 sites, it will open all 10 sites in the next session. Tabbed browsing of course.

2. How can i read sites with fonts that are too small or zoom into images i like to see more of?

Pressing the numeric + and – keys will allow me to zoom on any page – quickly!  This also doesn’t exist in other browsers.

3. What if i just want to use the mouse to go around – w/o touching the keyboard?

Opera has Mouse controls. A new way of using the mouse to navigate websites. Keyboard use is occasional now for the REAL surfer!

4. How do i manage downloads with resume capability w/o getting another piece of software?

Opera has had this for a long time. All downloads go to a SINGLE transfer window. They can be interrupted then resumed there – w/o going to the original site. Neat Neat Neat! IE makes you use multiple windows just to manage this.

5. I want to make notes regarding the sites I visited: How do i do that w/o losing the notes?

Hi-light any part of the webpage you want to remember, and right-click COPY TO NOTES. There’s a separate NOTES option where you can type draft messages and can contain words from sites you visited. Invaluable if you’re blogging a lot and want to quote sites.  Goodbye notepad and lost messages! This one’s AUTOSAVED!

See? With other browsers, you’d have to tamper with extensions. But with Opera? Its all there.  Oh by the way, I’ve already tried the new Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox and Flock!
